Open Enrollment Period starts November 1. Here is a list of things you should have ready before then.
- Gather everything you need before you apply: When you apply or renew your health insurance coverage, you will be asked to give current coverage, household, and income information.
- If you have last year’s coverage, review your current application to make sure it’s still accurate: If it is not up to date make sure to do so to ensure you get the right amount of premium tax credit. Starting November 1, you will be able to see a pre-filled application based on last year’s information.
- Set a reminder for yourself: Open Enrollment only goes on for a short amount of time and it is easy to forget about it. Set a reminder for yourself for November 1, and for December 15 so you can remember to enroll early or at the very least enroll before the deadline.
